see moses was this friend of mine

and we met at the world’s fair before we went blind

had no possesions, just a famous name

said when he died, all he left

was a mad dog 20/20 smile and some change

now moses lives in alice, ‘alice the goone’

a bitter, jaded, tired queen, stuck

back in the old school of mirror balls, poppers, fans, tambourines

hasn’t been the same since judy smashed the scene

and so they walk the road in silence

pickin up rocks now and then

killin with kindness

it’s survival of the heart ‘less you know’

but it’s time for time to bleed

sunday tea high on the gallery

moses serving sympathy

draws a bath and drowns in morrissey

alice, in a dream channels judy

and begins to sing
